Activities Week

Activities Week is now a much anticipated event in the final week before the summer break. Years 7, 8 and 9 have a wide range of vastly differing activities to choose from.

These include:

  • caving,
  • abseiling,
  • canoeing,
  • rock climbing,
  • sea fishing,
  • cycling,
  • camping,
  • creative writing,
  • music,
  • drama art workshops,
  • first aid,
  • community service,
  • horseriding,
  • skiing,
  • golf and many more.

We also take advantage of this week to offer foreign travel opportunities as part of the school’s extensive foreign trips programme that takes place throughout the year. These include trips to Rhineland Germany, Italy and Poland. At other times well established trips also include a New York Art trip, the World War One Battlefields, the Christmas markets in France or Germany, Auschwitz in Poland and a mini Year 7 trip to France. Year 10 students also take part in an annual Enrichment Week working with local businesses on a range of enterprise projects.
